Work out tax, National Insurance and take-home pay, then download your payslips and P60 as PDFs. Everything is made on your device.
How it works
Built on the UK Income Tax, National Insurance and student loan rates for every tax year from 2022/23 to 2026/27, for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
Enter the salary, gross or take-home, with the tax code, tax year and any student loan or pension. You'll see tax, NI and net pay straight away, or you can type in the figures from an existing payslip.
Add the employer and employee details, the pay date and how many payslips you need. Find an address from its postcode, carry forward year-to-date totals, and edit any month that was different.
Check every page before you download. If the last payslip falls on the final pay day of the tax year, a matching P60 is added automatically. Everything downloads as one PDF.
Your details stay on your device
The calculations and PDFs are made in your browser, so names, addresses, NI numbers and pay figures aren't sent to us. A postcode only leaves your device if you use the address finder, and messages only if you use the chat assistant.
FAQ
It's free while we launch. After that there'll be one simple price: £20 for up to 13 payslips plus a P60 if required. There are no separate charges for each document.
Small employers who run their own payroll and need to give staff payslips or a P60, and anyone who needs a replacement copy of their own payslips or P60 made from their real pay records.
Yes. Everything is worked out and turned into a PDF in your browser, and your details aren't sent to us. If you tick Remember my details, they're saved in this browser only, and unticking it deletes them. The address finder sends just the postcode to a free postcode service. The chat assistant is separate: what you type there goes to our chat provider, so please don't put personal or pay details in it.
Yes. On the results step, tick Use my own figures and enter the gross pay, tax, NI and any other deductions. They'll appear on the payslip exactly as entered. When you make several payslips, you can also edit each one separately.
Up to 13. Enter the latest pay date and the earlier dates are worked out one pay period at a time. You can change any date, and the year-to-date totals build up across the set.
If a P60 is all you need, choose P60 only on the Details step. Pick the tax year, then either let us work out a full year from the pay you entered, or type in the year's totals. If you're making payslips and one falls on the last pay day of a tax year, a P60 for that year is ticked automatically. Either way, you can add the employer's PAYE reference and any pay from a previous job in the same tax year.
Tick Add year-to-date figures and enter the totals from the payslip before the first one you're making. They're carried forward into every payslip and the P60. You can also have the tax worked out on a cumulative basis, the way payroll software does it.
They'll usually be within a few pence. Payroll software uses HMRC's figures for each pay period, while the calculator works from yearly amounts. If you have the real figures, use Use my own figures so the payslip matches them exactly.
No. Payslips and P60s are issued by employers, not HMRC, and these are produced in the same standard layouts. Only create documents that reflect pay that was actually received. Using a false payslip or P60 to get a loan, a mortgage, a tenancy or benefits is fraud.
